A Missed Period

The most common symptom in early pregnancy is a missed period. The purpose of a period in a woman’s menstrual cycle is to shed the thickened uterine lining when your body recognizes that there is no fertilized egg preparing to implant in the uterus.

It is important to note that a missed or delayed period can also be due to other hormonal changes such as stress, hormonal imbalances, and some medications.

Early Symptoms in Pregnancy

There are symptoms other than a missed period that can present early in pregnancy, even before your missed period.

  • Morning sickness
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Smell sensitivity
  • Frequent urination
  • Sore breasts

Pregnancy Testing

Even if you have taken an at-home pregnancy test, mistakes are possible. Be sure by confirming your pregnancy with our free pregnancy testing. Our medical staff will provide lab-quality pregnancy testing that detects the pregnancy hormone known as hCG.

A false negative can result from taking an at-home pregnancy test too early, not allowing enough hCG to accumulate in your body. Our pregnancy testing can confirm if you are pregnant or not.

If a pregnancy is confirmed, we offer no-cost limited ultrasounds to provide further information about your pregnancy to help guide your decision and care.
